FAQ

frequently asked questions

Here are some frequently asked questions about Serendira.

1. Where are your teams located?

We’re global-first. Our talent is mainly based in Sri Lanka, India, and the Philippines. We’ve designed everything around US time zones, async collaboration, and fast turnaround, so it never feels like you’re working with an offshore team.

We’re intentionally small right now, by design. We’re building slow, clean, and right. Every person on our team exists because they add value, not to inflate numbers.

Yes, Serendira is new as a company. But the founders are not new to outsourcing, US clients, or Bay Area expectations. We’ve worked inside outsourcing models before and built Serendira to fix what usually breaks, ownership, accountability, and care.

Startups and growing tech companies who want a partner that’s hungry and invested. If you want a vendor who treats you like just another account, we’re not it.

Yes, the founders do. We understand async work, fast feedback, tight deadlines, and the ‘get it done without drama’ culture.

As a new brand, we’re still building company-level case studies. We prefer earning trust through delivery rather than polished decks.

Digital-first businesses. SaaS, tech-enabled services, marketplaces, fintech support functions, and modern startups.

Operations, customer support, finance ops, IT support, and software-adjacent roles. We only take on work we’re confident delivering well.

Both. But our strength is dedicated teams that feel like part of your company.

Always. You meet the people. You approve them.

We focus on capable, accountable people with international client exposure.

We act fast. Coach first. Replace if needed. No dragging things out.

Structured, fast, and intentional. Tools, expectations, and culture aligned from day one.

Slack, Zoom, Jira, Notion… Whatever you already use.

One accountable owner, usually close to the founders.

Weekly minimum. Often more.

Yes, we integrate fully.

Typically 1–3 weeks depending on role.

We plan for growth early. Pipelines and backups are built in.

Strong hiring filters, founder involvement, and clean systems.

As a company, we’re early – so no. As individuals, we’ve seen pivots and funding changes.

Direct conversations. Fast solutions.

Nothing breaks. Documentation and overlap are standard.

We call it early and reset expectations clearly.

Yes, and we encourage it.

Yes. Confidence beats contracts.

Usually within 30–45 days.

Yes — the goal is the right fit.

Short answer: yes — by design.

As founders, we’ve worked in environments where one company runs multiple products, internal tools, or client workstreams at the same time.
So we built Serendira to support parallel teams without chaos.

We assign clear ownership, documentation, and reporting per team or product. That way, nothing bleeds into something else, and you don’t feel like you’re managing one big messy offshore group.

If you can manage multiple products internally, we make sure your outsourced teams can too.

Yes — especially for startups that don’t want to “hire and regret.”

Because we’re new, we spend more time upfront understanding where you’re headed — not just what you need this month.

We help you think through:

  • When to add people
  • What roles actually matter next
  • What can stay offshore vs what shouldn’t

Our goal isn’t to sell you more headcount — it’s to help you build a team that still makes sense 12 months from now.

Very directly. No ego, no defensiveness.

Startups change fast — priorities shift, roadmaps evolve, and sometimes yesterday’s plan is dead today. We expect that.

We encourage:

  • Clear feedback
  • Fast course correction
  • Open conversations

If something isn’t working, we’d rather hear it early and fix it than pretend everything’s fine. That mindset is baked into how we operate

As a company, we’re still early — so no, we haven’t lost a client yet.

As individuals, though, we’ve seen engagements end in the past due to things like:

  • Strategy pivots
  • Funding changes
  • Internal restructures on the client side

That experience is actually why Serendira exists. We’ve seen how fragile outsourcing relationships can be when expectations aren’t clear — and we’re very intentional about avoiding that from day one.
